Hi,
This morning I've updated my Qnap TS-873U-RP-64G to the latest version 4.5.3.1697(2021/06/11)
Since this update when I share a camera over HTTP I noticed that it drops frames.
You can clearly notice it due the fact that the camera timer skips multiple seconds when you're watching in the timestamp on the image.
This is something that wasn't the case in the older version.
What I notice that when you load the stream i get this screen for a couple of seconds:
and the image appeared for a couple of seconds just fine and then it start skipping once the screen is gone.
Does anyone has an idea?

Re: QVR PRO - Share camera over HTTP drops frames
Ok so opened a support ticket. This was the reply of Qnap:
Dear Tom,
Thank you for your support inquiry.
As checked with my headquarter, the feature share live stream per HTTP in QVR Pro needs to transcode the live stream into MJPEG codec which leads a long loading time and could only get one frame few seconds.
We find out a way to improve this feature and plan to release QVR Pro v2.1.0.0 in this June ( should be in 2 weeks).
Best regards
Jacky
What I don't get is why it was working before and now after updating the image isn't fluent and is just like a picture it takes everey X seconds...
Lets hope the new release in a week of 2 will make it work again.

Upgrades sometimes have unintended consequences as witnessed by recent QVRPro updates.
