How do I connect my EUFY Camera to QNAP via RSTP
Hi,
I have recently purchased Eufy 2K Indoor Cam and I want to store the CCTV footage directly to my QNAP TS-259 Pro+ via RSTP. Is this possible? If it is can you please let me know how and also what tool do I need to get to view the footage from the QNAP? Again can you please show me how to set the configuration to do this?
Thanks,
Dennis

Check out Surveillance Station, this should work OK for you :
https://www.qnap.com/solution/surveilla ... ion/en-uk/
I don't believe your NAS model supports the updated surveillance solution QVRPro.

Hi AlastairStevenson,
Thanks for the reply. I have configured my camera using the Generic Model and the NAS is connected to it but no recording. The Status is Connecting. Do you know why?
Thanks for your help in advance,
Dennis

Without knowing the details of your network and how you have configured the SS camera settings, it's hard to know what the problem is.
You can validate the RTSP URL you are trying by using it in VLC to see if it connects ok.

Re: How do I connect my EUFY Camera to QNAP via RSTP
Hi,
Please could you let me know if you managed to configure your Eufy camera?
I have the same problems?
With me it seems to be with the camera model?
I only have the name Generic JPEG in the list, nothing that like "Generic Model"
Whatever I choose and set is produces an error message stating camera model incorrect??
My setup:
Camera Number: Camera 1
Camera Model: Generic JPEG
HTTP URL: /live0
Camera Name: Camera 1
IP Address: 192.168.0.42
Port: 554
WAN IP: (for monitoring from public network)
554
(If your IP camera is installed behind NAT router, you may input the public IP address (or URL) and the corresponding forwarded port of the router.)

Re: How do I connect my EUFY Camera to QNAP via RSTP
there must be a Camera Brand: Generic Model
Camera Model : generic RTSP
HTTP URL: rtsp://192.168.0.42/live0
try this. but my Eufy cam 2 pro never shows live stream.

Yes it does work. i got the eufy cam2 to work and record
you have to go into the settings of the homebase, i used a phone app for this and there i enable the RTSP function
for the htsp url just put in live0
NAS TS1279 QVR Pro 1.3

@ ibwaheemi, I suppose you have the indoor cam or you are viewing with the Eufy app on the mobile ?
I have the outdoor Eufy can pro 2 and would like to see the RTSP stream live on the QVR PRO Client running on a PC/Mac.
This isn"t working for me.

Re: How do I connect my EUFY Camera to QNAP via RSTP
I have got my Eufy Security Solo IndoorCam C24 working as follows in Surveillance Station:
First set static IP or configure DHCP server to always give the same IP to the camera on your router
Enable RTSP on the Camera via the Eufy App. I have also set security authentication to Digest and then set a username and password
On QNAP Surveillnce Station:
Camera Brand: Generic Model
Camera Model: Generic RTSP
HTTP URL: /live0
Camera Name: Whatever
IP Address: IP address you set it to at Router
Port: 80
RTSP Port: 554
WAN IP Address: empty
Port: empty
RTSP WAN Port: empty
Username: username set in the Eufy APP (RTSP security)
Password: password set in the Eufy APP (RTSP security)
Apply
Pressing Test only gives a Green tick to say all OK
To view via VLC:
CTRL-N or Media --> Play Network Stream.
Enter Network URL as:
rtsp://username:password@IP Address/live0
e.g. rtsp://myuser:mypasswd@192.168.0.200/live0
Only problem I have is actually to do anything i.e. record capture etc. The Monitor button in Surveillance station tells you to install qmon.exe and none of that works for me
I got it working with the mobile VMobile app but I have no clue (and no time to sort) if it's just recording, showing live, recording events (which is what I want it to do).
EDIT: And it's just rubbish as the Camera disconnects from QNAP SS (or Vice versa) and then you have to open app disable and re-enable RTSP and it then connects. Not fit for purpose like that

Re: How do I connect my EUFY Camera to QNAP via RSTP
Did anyone ever get this to work?
I've got my Eufy 2k indoor camera set up in QVR Pro using RTSP and it connects, shows me the camera view for a few minutes and then sticks "connecting". I have to switch RTSP off and back on again in the Eufy Security app then retest the connecton in QVR Pro for it to reconnect. Then same happens again.

Re: How do I connect my EUFY Camera to QNAP via RSTP
In reply to my own post, you need to set the Eufy camera RTSP stream to "continuous recording" not "events" even if you intend to use QVR to only record events. That way the stream stays on in QVR. Not worked out how to save recordings yet, I've got motion detection via QVR set up and it does seem to register, but my rule to record on motion doesn't seem to.

I would recommend using QVR Pro to work with your Eufy cameras
