It's a long time since the last post here. Very sorry to have still the same experience. My DS-2CD2346G2-IU (Firmare V5.5.113 build 210317) is a very powerful cam with excellent light abilities. But it is not possible to attach it in QVR Pro. Yes, as generic cam it's possible but this minimalistic solution cannot be the end of the story for a quite expensive combination of a "professional" surveillance station and a "compatible" camera.
Are there new insights of the root cause and how to get it working? The CGI switch didn't help...
@smalltri: I don't know if the dropbox'ed firmware would help an my cam but the file is gone anyway. May you please provide it again...?
Thanks a lot!

Re: Cannot connect some Hikvision DS-2CD2385FWD-I cameras to QVR Pro
New insights: the problem corresponds to the https-Setting a normal user would activate in the HIKVISION settings. If deactivated (falling back to http) the "TEST" button in QNAP QVR Pro changes to green. After a while the camera connects and streams are recorded.
I don't know why the https-field in QVR Pro is grayed out as soon as one selects the camera brand and model. This should be fixed / made available. Transferring unencrypted sensible data is never a good idea and Hikvision supports https. Important: allow self signed certificates. The camera generates it's own cert...
