Reolink RLC-812A

Post by organic »

I can not seem to add the above camera to QVR Pro not being detected. (TS-253Be) I have tried auto and manual with no luck.
I have it connected it by an TP-Link 5-Port Gigabit Desktop PoE Switch camera woks with reolink app on me phone and IP address.
The firmware is newer one that is on the compatibility list on reolink web site.
As its the first time with POE just wondering if its something stupid I've missed could the switch be blocking it?

Thanks for any advice.

No - the switch won't be blocking any traffic from the camera.
You can confirm that if you are able to access the camera web GUI from your browser.

Reolink IP cameras are well known for having very problematic firmware that often gives issues when trying to connect them to recording systems.
If you've only just bought it - consider returning it and buying a different brand.

TS-431+ for storage and media and a bunch of IP cams under Surveillance Station. TVS-473 as files backup and QVR Pro.
