Hello,
I am having an ubiquiti G3 Dome IP Camera.
This cam is having options with standalone working with RTSP.
I can stream with VLC-player from the camera, but not from surveillance station with the following settings (see attachment for settings and error).
With vlc-player the following url is working fine : rtsp://192.168.2.60:554/s0
username : admin
password: admin
What is the problem here?
Thx

Re: RTSP Stream not working
The settings look like they should work.
Is this remote access, not LAN access?
But try putting the full RTSP URL in the field for the RTSP path, as you have quoted for VLC.

Re: RTSP Stream not working
Hi,
just tested it with the full url : RSTP://192.168.2.160:554/s0
Still same issue.
This is local access.

Re: RTSP Stream not working
That should be 'RTSP' not 'RSTP'
Try to finish the setup screens, and modify from the finished configuration.
You need to be sure the LAN port is set correctly. That's not on the screen in your screenshot.

Re: RTSP Stream not working
RTSP was a typo.
I have tried the setup screens with /so --> not working
Also changing after setup to the long url : RTSP://192.168.2.60:554/s0 --> not working
lan ports are set to 80 and t554 --> still not working
Are there any other options to get this work on surveillance station?
Thx

Re: RTSP Stream not working
Most IP cameras are ONVIF compatible these days - but the product specs for this one don't mention it.Are there any other options to get this work on surveillance station?
You can find out for sure by downloading the very good Windows open-source tool 'ONVIF Device Manager' from sourceforge.net
If you are lucky and it is ONVIF compatible - ODM will tell you lots about the camera that's not in the user manual.
If so - the 'ONVIF port', used for configuring the SS ONVIF model selection, is shown in the URI at the bottom of the Identification page.
You will need to give ODM some logon credentials - top left of the window.

Re: RTSP Stream not working
It seams Onvif Device Manager is not finding my G3 dome camera.
Any other options?

Re: RTSP Stream not working
Sorry - no other options, unless you are well versed in network traffic analysis.
It seems to me your Ubiqiti camera has some bugs and deficiencies.
It may be best to try their support facility to ask about problems with the RTSP implementation, and when/if ONVIF support will be provided.
