Hello
I want to add a stream that looks like this but I cannot get it to work on QNAP SS. Works fine in VLC but I want to setup recording. Any ideas please?
rtsp://DEVICE_IP/unicast
Cheers

From what I recall, you just use /unicast in the path configuration.
The IP address and port are defined in another field.

That message can appear when the port is wrong as well as the IP address.it says IP invalid or something like that.
Does the camera still have the RTSP port at the default of 554?
Another way to see the RTSP URL, which might show a different value to try, is to query the camera with the very good open-source tool ONVIF Device Manager from sourceforge.net
Give ODM some valid logon info for the camera, top left of the window, and it will find ONVIF-compatible devices automatically.
The RTSP URL is at the bottom of the Live Video page.

it is odd as I had 1 camera listed that was working perfectly fine and now it says exactly the same thing. Will check the tool, thank you
