Re: QVR-Pro and Reolink 420 & 422 cameras
OK, as promised, I am back with some results.
It indeed looks like there is something off with QVR Pro creating the ghosting. I attached 2 pictures comparing the same moment I shot with SS and QVR the same time. It clearly shows that the quality of SS recordings are better than the ones from QVR. Look for yourself (on the large sizes the difference is better visable), both files have been opened on my system with VLC and I took screenshots out of it:
QVR: SS:
So I have to open a ticket I guess since the ghosting of the QVR is so much worse than it makes files unusable for my purpose.

Hi Kurisutian
Could you tell us how you get the recording at QVR Pro?
("Using QVR Pro Client export" or "Getting from QVRProRecording folder")
Thanks!

Hi QNAPAlanK,
sure, no Problem. As I am using a linux computer, I am getting all files from the QVRProRecording folder. Actually I'm syncing the TVS-253B located in the US over to another one (mine), a TVS-873 and sometimes I get them from there sometimes I get them from the original one, it depends. The sample from above I got directly from the TVS-253B folders.
I checked the qvi and the mp4 files, no difference.
Do you need any other information? Thanks!

Re: QVR-Pro and Reolink 420 & 422 cameras
Hi QNAPAlanK,
I sure can:
Codec: H.264 (the only available one)
FPS: 25/30
Resolution: 1920x1080
Bitrate: 6144k bks
These settings were similar in QVR and Surveillance Station.
The camera is connected over the model, not onvif.
As for the QVR Client, I cannot run this on Windows10 since as soon as I want to open it, the windows crash report pops up and sends a report. I installed it twice but no luck (however, I do not really need the client at all on Windows 10).
As for the QVR Android Client: The preview of the camera does not work there at all, they just do not show a picture. Same for any preview in SS or QVR Webinterface. They record however. I thought it might be worth mentioning, although for me it currently is OK. Would be more of a nice to have though, but the recording has a higher priority.

Re: QVR-Pro and Reolink 420 & 422 cameras
This is currently with the Qnap Developers now apparently. There using my cameras over the internet on their test station so i think this is a problem with QVR Pro as the Qnap client wasnt able to sort it after doing everything they said including upgrading the firmware on the cameras.
I have how ever had problems with letting the ports out to the internet due to My rubbish Virgin Modem I have how ever found alternatives. Dont do what i did and just pick any random port lol it causes all sorts of rubbish.
SS also worked flawlessly for me. No problems with ghosting or anything. I was tempted to go back to that but in truth QVR Pro is more of what im after as far as a professional CCTV software.

Re: QVR-Pro and Reolink 420 & 422 cameras
I have noticed from reading through the forum there are problems with both Reolink 410 & 420 cameras. I wish I had read through all of this prior to order a few. I ordered 2 410s and 1 420 this morning.
Hoping these issues are resolved as I really have to have something in place due to some security issues around my home while I am away at work.

It's been fixed!!
I've been having having long talks and TeamViewer sessions with qnap and they have sent me the new file for qvr pro.
All working spot on now. No doubt there will be an update out very soon
Cheers Craig

Yes it was a problem with qvr pro. It's working perfectly now for me. No issues with the image being of poor quality anymore. The lads at qnap did an amazing job at sorting it.

Re: QVR-Pro and Reolink 420 & 422 cameras
I just submitted a ticket for adding the 422W as it supports a higher resolution than the 422. I keep running into an issue where in the standalone reolink app I can set it to 5MP but then in SS it only thinks it can support 4MP so it force changes the camera to 4MP and cuts off part of the field of view. I hope they can make a simple fix out of that.

My 422 supports 5mp. Not sure about the qvr pro client. Iv not tried it. The only issue I'm having with qvr pro now is the constant recordings. I'm not sure why it's doing that. I turn the sensitivity down a bit and then it goes into a fit of not recording at all. No happy medium.

Hmm, have you tried it in surveillance station and it still allows 5MP? That’s where my hang up is.

Not tried it no. I'm trying to use qvr pro. 5mp isn't a big thing for me anyway. I'm happy with 4mp.

What is the version number of QVR Pro that you have now? I just downloaded it from the QNAP Shop and it shows version 1.0.2.0 with a published date of 3/13/2018 so it doesn't look like they have publicly released what they sent you.craig20102010 wrote:It's been fixed!!
