QVPRO Client Mac Crash

I can duplicate this every time on two Macs, different MacOS versions. I have also tried this direct connected to the QNAP to eliminate the network. Anyone else seeing this?

Open QVRProClient on Mac.
Make any change such as change the name of the View--do NOT save
Quit without saving
You will see dialog asking if you want to save and endless spinning wheel.

No way out except to force quit.

Everything current as of 1/28/19.

I have had that crashing issue since I first set up my system last July. It was reported to tech support in multiple tickets and discussed in two "remote" sessions. I was sure there was an update around November/December that corrected this. Can't say for sure since my system died in early December and is currently at QNAP on a warranty repair.

If you're not already aware, there is a workaround. Make sure to "save" any changes before quitting. That avoids the dialog and the crash.

What is the workaround?

If I may be so bold...

The workaround is as noted in my post.

Before quitting QVRPro, save. Either Cmd-S or "Save" from the "File" menu. Then "Quit."

If you do that, you will not get the "save any changes" dialog. That will avoid the QVRPro crash that only happens when that dialog appears.

Interesting how QNAP comes in the forum and removes a link someone posted to a beta file, Yet, No mention of a fix or acknowledgement that QVR is useless.

QVR is not useless. It just has this issue. Save first. They have been good about following up with me to try to get all the details to try to solve the problem.
