QVR Pro and Axis FA54 4 channel encoder

I can see from the compatibility list the encoder is supported by QVRpro. Does each channel on the encoder use a qvrpro gold channel licence. It says it supports 3 streams is this per camera channel?

image will be xway split and is recorded as one videonstream ..

the nvr does not know it's 4 cameras
