Adding cam to Qvr Pro

Post by peter.pfg »

Hi,

I have two IMOU cameras, pls see below. Both work flawlessly with ODM, happily displaying live video and video streaming.
Only the G22 works with Qvr Pro 2.0 (using ONVIF Profile S). Both cameras have exactly the same firmware.
I have tried drivers for IMOU, Dahua, ONVIF, Generic etc, but all fails.

Are there any obscure settings I have missed?
Is there any debug/verbose log from Qvr Pro to know what is going on?
Any ideas would be mostly appreciated.

/Peter

Have you tried swapping the cameras to see if it is a difference in settings?
I assume you have already performed a hardware reset on the camera?
Other than that I would open a call to support.

Thank you for the reply spile!
I have done hw reset, yes, and then config same except ip.
Don't understand the swapping, are you referring to the ip?
They both have wifi ip on the same domain, should be the same conditions.
I could trace with Wireshark though, but seems like a long shot.

Using rtsp it is possible to view live with e.g. VLC, which works for both cams.
Anyone know the proper string for RTSP URL in Generic RTSP, how much of the string from ODM to use?
Like '/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0&unicast=true&proto=Onvif' or is it ok with '/cam/realmonitor' ?

In general it seems to me the Qvr is very picky on cameras. It's very easy to get a live stream in various ways like browser, VLC, ODM etc but Qvr, oh no.
Then, by providing any sort of debug output or logfile Qnap would probably save substantial support time and make the users happier.

I wondered if you had different setting for each camera which resulted in the issues you were having. So by swapping the ip camera for each perhaps you could rule this out. On reflection this is probably more effort than manually configuring the camera that doesn’t work.
Before I found a matching config file I had success using one for a different camera but from the same manufacturer.

Now rtsp is working all of a sudden. Same setting as before so kind of a mystery why it kicked alive now.
Not the same service as onvif, no onboard motion detection for instance, but I'll settle on this for now since at least I got a stream.
Thanks again for your replies spile!
