Offsite storage

Post by mendry »

I have QVR Pro running with 12 cameras that record 24*7. I have found that motion events don't work well for me since many of my cameras cover a broad area.

Has anyone thought about how to keep the most recent recordings offsite? If someone breaks in or there is a fire I could lose my QNAP NAS and it would be handle to have the last hour offsite.

The files I need are in QVRProRecording > File > Standard_Format so I would like to have the last 60 minutes in Google Drive or Azure. I looked at HBS3 backup and it doesn't give me the right settings to have a small set of recent files backed up. QVR Pro's backup comes close, but I would need a second NAS someplace. I assume the QVR Pro backup will work with QuTSCloud, but I have found that to be a little expensive. The other backup solutions in the QNAP store don't seem to have the right options to give me a rolling hour of backups.
