Replace QVR Pro Storage HDD
I have one 3TB HDD in my NAS dedicated to QVR Pro Storage. How can I replace that HDD with a larger HDD? I know I will lose the recordings on that HDD, but I am hoping I won't lose the camera settings etc as the App is installed on my main volume?
NAS : TVS-471
CPU : i7-4790T
RAM : 16GB
HDD : 2 x 10TB + 1 x 6TB + 1 x 4TB
SSD : 2 x 500GB (used for SSD Cache)

Re: Replace QVR Pro Storage HDD
The QVR container is probably not installed on that drive(no info given), so if you pull that storage drive, QVR pro will continue to work (just complains about missing storage target) replace the drive, set it up and point QVR to the new storage

Maybe, I should set the cameras to stop recording first? Then remove the drive, configure it as storage and then start the cameras again?

Re: Replace QVR Pro Storage HDD
I was able to increase the size of my drives by replacing them one by one without losing recordings or settings. Just allow a few days for the upgrade.

Yes I guess you were running the drives in a RAID and just used the NAS storage expansion procedure. In my case I just have a single drive dedicated to the QVR.

Re: Replace QVR Pro Storage HDD
Indeed. I allocated space from the main storage pool for QVRPro. I now use one of the old HDs as a backup for events. It will give me a year or threes worth of recordings.bruce_miranda wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 4:09 pm Yes I guess you were running the drives in a RAID and just used the NAS storage expansion procedure.
