Reolink camera has low resolution

Post by mkbean »

Hi all,
New to this forum and hoping for a bit of direction. I have Nest and want to move to Surveillance Station. I purchased two ReoLink IP POE cameras. One is a RLC-520 and the other is a RLC-820a. I'm unable to increase the resolution of the 820a which is the one that is actually 4K. There is no where I can change it. Any ideas?

Thanks
Brian

Depending on your (undisclosed ) NAS model , you should switch to QVR, as Surveillance Station is old and not really updated anymore

Sorry, I have a TS-453A. I will try QVR-Pro.

Got them working in QVR Pro but it still seems the raw video files are the same size. I did learn the streaming is low quality which makes sense. Thanks for your help.

The Reolink camera firmware is somewhat proprietary and riddled with problems when trying to connect them to other than the Reolink app.
Do you still have a chance to return them?
That would be the best option.

TS-431+ for storage and media and a bunch of IP cams under Surveillance Station. TVS-473 as files backup and QVR Pro.
