I hate to add fuel to the fire, however, I am in the same boat. 2x y-ca knight with a 409 nas and no recording. I am desperate to get this working as the cams are there to protect my family from a very real threat. I would be willing to try any upgrade/downgrade or beta available.

Same problem. TS-109 Pro II with Y-Cam black. Always says "Failed to connect Camera 1." I am using the camera admin account. It works from preview and view. I can get to camera from android phone. but recording never starts. Runing FW 3.1

Has this been solved yet please? I'm about to purchase a YCAM Black but want to know it works with the TS-409 correctly? i.e. recording etc

Well, we have the same problem with the TS-209.
I asked QNAP when the new firmware 3.2.1. is coming. Y-Cam issue should be solved then. This was the answer:
