Honestly this is really poor..... I don't want to stress my HDD all the time... that's what event recording would be for.

Not a very smart solution....
I had a QNAP since almost 10 years only for backup and just bought a new one. Thought to give it a try to use it for something more.... But just forget it....

As just said in the German forum, QNAP does not come here .. so if you want to complain or threaten to switch vendors, they will not read about it in the forums
