Hi
I have a TS439 (as of last week), with "Current firmware version: 3.1.1 Build 0815T"
On the "Administration / Applications / Surveillance Station" page it states:
" To use Surveillance Station , please update the system firmware with the image file enclosed in the product CD or download the latest system firmware..."
There is a similar statement on the "Administration / Applications / MySQL Server" page
The product CD has F/W = U_TS-439_20090815-3.1.1.img dated 19/08/2009 09:27
and the file I downloaded from QNAP = TS-439_3.1.1_Build0815.img dated 15/08/2009 03:27
The content of these two files is identical.
From the filenames, my TS439 seems to be up to date, so do I have to upgrade the firmware or not?
Or is it the case that the TS439 does not support Surveillance Station (yet). This would be a little annoying as it is one of the reasons I purchased it.
Am I missing something?
Some advice would be much appreciated.
Best regards
Rick

Re: TS439 Does Using Surveillance Station requires a F/W Upgrade
Hi Rick,
Because Surveillence Station takes some space, so we could not include it in the DOM (128MB). Therefore, please download & reinstall the latest firmware again from the website and you'll get Surveillence Station functionality (S.S. will be installed on your HDD).
