Audio quality question

Is anyone recording audio on their systems? I'm looking to deploy an IP based CCTV system that will record both audio and video streaming back to our central office over our VPN. For cameras, I'm leaning towards Vivotek 7130. The 7130 is on the compatibility list for both MPEG-4 and audio.

I've got a Qnap TS-439-U NAS and I'm pretty happy with that so far, with the exception of sometimes the nic seems like it hangs up.
