0x8007003B on copy to or from NAS - any file size

Post by cdxp01 » Wed Sep 11, 2019 11:24 am

Qnap : TS 451+
Version: 4.4.1.1031

If i try to copy a file to or from the Home folder i get the following error

An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the folder.
Error 0x8007003B: An unexpected network error occurred

I can see files, delete files. I can open them in an application. I just cant copy or create them.
All other folders work OK
All permissions appear to be the same across all folders.
Run full disk checks all appears to be OK
The home folder is not listed as a shared folder in QNAP - i can see it in file manager . That seems to be a clue but i dont know how to solve it.

I don't know when this started because its a folder i use mostly for archive - but it may be related to the most recent firmware update.
I've read about 0x8007003B: problems with QNAP before and also problems with very large files.
This wont copy anything .

I'm PC competent but i only the QNAP for archive and file serving . Any suggestions ?

running out of disk space perhaps? where are you trying to copy the files to on the NAS? any particular home/homes share or folder? some explanation is here: viewtopic.php?f=185&t=102673#p459681

can you SSH to your NAS and type the following. cut and paste the results.

Code: Select all

df -h

Reads like you are experiencing a known SMB problem with at least a couple of recent versions of firmware.

Check out this thread that is about the same issue
