/multimedia qnap folder missing in windows 10

Post by gkelly50 »

Hello

I am so new the paint is still wet

I cannot find the /Multimedia folder in Windows 10 or in fact anywhere. When I try to add music to Music station it states that the folder does not exist, if I the try to create a folder in the NAS it comes displaying the folder under the home directory. But it does not display this under home in Windows?

So I try to create a folder in Windows, that is OK but the NAS does not recognise this when trying to add music?

I have changed the permissions etc, but I notice that in Music Station it states change the Misc settings, but there are no settings to change as no folder is shown nor can you add any

Do I have to reinitialise the system again, I do not want to do this as I have a lot of data already loaded, and yes I have no backup.

Mine is an old NAS it is a 420 running QTS 4.3.3 but great for home backups and storage
