Hi,
yesterday I lost all access to my NAS from Windows 10. This seemed to coincide with a windows 10 reboot following a windows update (which I have since backed out but it has made no difference).
Under "Network" from file explorer, my NAS shows up.
I can ping the local NAS ip address from windows
I can no longer access the web interface locally, but I can using the myqnapcloud adddress, remotely
I can access the NAS locally from my iphone (through the web interface and via the Qnap apps), so I am assuming this is a purely Windows 10 issue
I have tried enabling and disabling SMB 1 - makes no difference
I cannot access any shares via ip address - e.g. \\192.168.x.x\Share (normally have the shares mapped as network drives via their ip address like this)
Not sure what else I can try, as the inly thing that seems to have changed is the latest Windows 10 drop, which I have backed out.
Would love some other suggestions as to what may the issues, thanks.
b.

Have you run Qfinder Pro?

Sorry, should have mentioned that.
I have run Qfinder Pro - it cannot find the NAS either - zero results

Ugh - I'm an idiot!
Spent ages looking at windows update and networking issues etc only to find a clue browsing through other postings on this forum.
Turns out my NAS had blacklisted the IP address of my Windows 10 machine and added it as "blocked forever" on the Allow/Deny List.
Next thing is to find out why - but at least removing the IP address from this list has solved the issue, for the moment.

Could you specify where this blacklist is?
I have the same problem but I can't solve it.
Qufinder finds the NAS if I restart it, but after some time, turning the PC back on, it loses communication.

Horace,
log on to the NAS web interface, open Control Panel and then select Security.
The allow/deny list is the first tab along the top - and a list of affected IP addresses will be in the table below.
