How to show shared files

Post by prototypegr »

Hi. New to Qnap with a TS-251D. I have set it up in raid1 with two 4TB disks and i have created the shared folders and the users. I have seven (7) shared folders, two (2) opened to everyone for r+w and the others are locked for specific users. When i hit the ip address of the nas in the file explorer from Windows 10 Pro, it pops up the window that asks me for username and password. I have to enter one of the username and password from the users i made and then it shows all the seven (7) folders, but i can only access the two (2) that are shared with everyone and the one that the username and password is used for. What i want to do is, when i hit the ip address it will show me all the folders and only when i want to access a folder that requires username and password, only then it will ask me for the credentials. Any advice?
Thanks.
