Hello all.
To be clear I know almost nothing about servers and networking so the information here very well might be a fool's rambling but I had a similar problem as the one discussed. I am on a TVS-h1288X server with firmware h4.5.4.1771. My Windows 10 pro desktop lost the ability to to get to the logon and subsequently the server desktop regardless of if I punched in the IP manually from any of three browser windows, or had Q-finder 7.5.1 pro try and log-in. I tried my :443 port on the secure connection and :8080 on the http connection without success. Like others I did not have the problem with my android device.
Using the android device I went to Control Panels --> General Settings -->System Administration and then scrolled down and UNCHECKED the "Force secure connection (https) only" box. Doing this allowed me to then access the server desktop using my IP address from any of the browsers in windows 10. It must be http NOT https and unless you have the "Allow redirect URL to NAS login page" at the bottom of the same section checked you will need to put your port number in (8080 is stock and standard, I think. It will be listed towards the top of the same section). So my IP would look like "192.168.1.10:8080" in Google Chrome since I did not check the "redirect" statement.
I do not know if doing this makes a server more insecure/unsafe. I did try adjusting the HTTPS TLS compatibility in windows 10 to only be version 1.2 compatible but it did not fix the problem like the above action did. I am also certain that someone who knows more about HTTPS protocol/Windows 10 and the Qnap OS can fix the issue properly, but at least for now there is this.
I hope this helps,
Trainerwump
