Hi folks
Im looking for some help here.
I've got an old QNAP 859Pro (wich serves me very well) and about 10 W10Pro Desktops.
I usually setup my desktops with local user accounts then i add mapped drives or local network using the credentials created on QNAP software.
But i've recently subscribed to Office 365 and now i can login into windows using office 365 email/credentials, instead of offlice local user account.
But when i do this, i cant access the mapped drives or local network.
"Everytime i try to access my network i get this message:
\\server\ is not accessible. Maybe you dont have permission
Contact administrator, bla bla bla.
Is not possible to login with this credential because the domain is not available."
Can anyone help me with that?
I'd like to keep using my Office 365 accounts to login into windows. But with this i loose conection to QNAP, i'll have to use the old method to setup windows accounts.
Thanks

authentication for on prem non domain authentication is (I think) plain email addresses
so setup users with the email address as username up in your qnap, if a user changes the password in office365 auth, the password would need to be changed manually on the qnap.
Only if you run a local DC, you can automate the password authentication on QNAP with a DC join / LDAP sync

But whats DC / DC Join or LDAP sync?
My network is based on Windows PCs, UniFi Router and QNAP.

That is one late reply...
LDAP sync and DC auth are explained in the manual
