Is it possible for NAS to "see" drives on a Windows 10 Pro desktop where both the devices are on the same network?
I am using 4 x 4TB HDD in my TS-453Be NAS to store movie files. I also had a Plex Media Server running on the NAS. Since my available disk space on the NAS is nearly full, I would like to access 2 12TB HDD on my Windows 10 Pro Desktop PC via the Plex Media Server on the NAS.
I have temporarily installed Plex Media Server on my Windows 10 machine and the Plex Library can see both Windows 10 2 12TB disks as well as the folders on NAS. However, I would prefer to have the Plex Server on the NAS.
Sorry if this topic is covered in the past. I have tried to search but could not find any information that I was looking for.

share the drives on your windows pc and mount them on your qnap via smb
plex should be able to see these shares via the add library dialoge

Re: Access Windows 10 drives from within NAS
I have created a new local user on the Windows 10 desktop and shared the Media folder on the Windows 10 desktop machine with this user.
How do I mount this Windows 10 shared media folder in QNAP?

Dolbyman - thanks for your patience. The issue is finally resolved. I had not created the share correctly in Windows 10. That was the issue. Thanks again for you help.
