Home Drives on Windows

Post by Q-nap »

I've set up home drives on the NAS. Added in my users and set up passwords for each user.

I've come to set the shares up on the clint, Win 11 (spit), and I can't seem to get them to work.

I thought they would be set up by \\ NAS IP \Home and then supplying Username and Password to identify the home. e.g. User1 Pass1 but no joy.
I've tried \\ NAS IP \User1 and then supplying User1 Pass1 but no joy again.

I can link to shares on the NAS from this computer but not the home ones.

Any ideas?

Problem solved.

I wiped all the shares for the users. Created new ones and it worked.

Able to link to my homedrive H: via \\ NAS IP \Home and then User1 Pass1.

Have no idea what went wrong. Seems I have more problems with basics than I ever did before. Not convinced it is just me getting old and/or stupid.
