Can't see QNAP TS-431 on one computer on my Win 10

Post by hmaurer »

I have been using this windows machine with my TS-431 for three years. Just recently, after upgrading Kodi and Windows, the machine will not recognize the QNAP drive. However, it does see the media server on it. The issue is I can't keep the system running to play music files on the TS-431. When in Kodi, I search for the smb;// drive and it finds it and mounts it, until; I shut down Kodi. Then I have to find and mount it again. However, the windows computer still does not recognize the drive. Based on some reading ion this and other forums, there might be a confusion of settings for DNS. I currently have the drive in a static address - 192.168.1.133:9175 using 9175 as the port.

I am not a programmer or other network specialist, and this has gone beyond my ability to troubleshoot. Any ideas or further questions? Where should I start? BTW, all the other computers and phones on the network see the drive without issue.
