QNAP 219

Post by chemoul »

I cannot see any of the QNAP shared folders from one of my PCs that is running Vista, QNAP Finder cannot find the device either.
I have no problems finding it or accessing network shares with any of the XP computers.

I can ping the QNAP and I can logon using the web admin interface.

Microsoft Networking is enabled in the QNAP, however the QNAP is in a different Workgroup to the Vista PC.

Also, with UPnP enabled on the QNAP I can at least see the NAS in the Vista Network and Sharing Center, however clicking on it opens the web admin interface. With UPnP disabled, I cannot see the QNAP in the Network and Sharing Center at all.

Any idea?

Hi,
I had no problem using a Vista PC to access QNAP NAS.

Please check if your firewall (Vista built-in or 3rd party) or security settings has blocked your access to your NAS.
