Working Subversions / SVN Container?

Post by ZZY »

Has anyone been successful getting an SVN container working from any of the Docker Hub images?

I currently have several repos running on an 8 year old Mac Mini, which I set up a long time ago. To be prepared for when the Mac Mini goes pop, I'm looking at running SVN on my QNAP TS-853A. I see there are no Subversion / SVN packages available, but when looking through container station, saw that there are Docker based SVN containers showing up in searches on Docker Hub. I'm not an experienced linux user, but the QNAP info on the NAS makes it sound like it's supposed to be very easy to set up. I've spent around 6 hours trying to get one of the containers running with no success. Before I invest any more time in this, I wondered if anyone could recommend any of the SVN containers as working on their QNAP NAS. I don't mind putting work into it but at this point I'm wondering if it's even possible after my limited success today.

Look in https://wiki.qnap.com/wiki/Install_Optware_IPKG at the end: Manual installation. It is possible to install the old ipkg and use it. I am using an older TS219P, firmware 4.3.3.0210 .
After installing ipkg try ipkg update and ipkg install svn.
