I have Qnap TS251+ , I install win 8.1 in virtualization station.
the main reason I need win 8 is to use live encoding software which normally create, delete or update some files in real time.
I would like to access these file directly them later on in web page.
I already did a shared location as network path where I can access the Qnap Web folder and I can access it normally by double click, but live encoding software do not accept network path as destination for there file and need to see them as local folders ( local path as c:\xxxx\xxx )
How can I mount Qnap Web Folder as local drive in Win 8
How to mount qnap Web folder as local drive in win8.1 VM

Usually, in windows explorer you can map a network share as a drive letter. Would that work for you? In widows 7 Explorer it's under "Tools\Map network drive", should be similar in Win8.

Dear voy13k
thank you for your replay
you are right, I create a network drive, just as you advised
but I still face the problem that encoding software still see it as a network path and does not accept it.
I want the same idea which VM wire used when you make virtual machine inside windows. it give you shared folder you access it from VM and Container in the same time.
there is another plane but I am not sure how to do it
I am wondering if there is real time synchronization tool which will update file in network drive with a folder inside win 8 virtual machine.
