ok i understand for the newer models but can i find the VIB file or offline bundle anywhere else for my Qnap859 oldie
or is soemwhere findable on the nas from in FW 4.6.2

ask qnap via ticket..but my guess is ..no (as it comes preinstalled on the device)

pre installed on the device? so the VIB is on the device winscp to get it off?
i will give Qnap a call.

i managed to install the VIB vaai from earlier version but.. when i look with putty it says installed ->ok ..usable -> no

Are you using ISCSI or NFS?
