Veeam QNAS Linux Backup repository

Post by Merton »

I'm also trying to setup a QNAP TS541 as a Linux server repository with Veeam v11 - without any success.

We've been in contact with Veeam and they suggest the issue is that the Veeam host server is unable to connect to the QNAP port 6162, which is required for its mover service. The veeam server and qnap are on the same internal LAN - no routing or firewall in the way.

Telnet to port 6162 of the QNAP fails to test

if anyone could elaborate why or where this is being blocked by the NAS device? We can't find that there is a firewall of any kind on the QNAP

(Appreciate this is in reply to an old-ish post!!)

Did you ask if the TS-451 (typo on your end!) has the Veeam agent ? Best to open a ticket with QNAP and ask.

Or check here
https://www.qnap.com/solution/veeam-ready/en-us/

I use my QNAPs as simple Veeam backup targets and never had any issues with ports or services.

Thanks,

We have now raised a ticket with QNAP for advice.
