Is the Linux Station just a dedicated VM?
Virtualization Station has more capibilties than just Linux Station?
Is it faster than Virtualization Station if you just wanted to VM Linux?

afaik

Linux station is a chroot (?) [Father_Mande/ Phillipe knew all about it, but deleted his account and posts so all his wisdom is gone]
Virtualization station is a KVM

@Dolbyman - Basically correct. Linux Station is closer in principle to a Docker Container than a VM.

A VM have a full blown operating system sitting inside the HyperVisor which can be the same/different OS/Kernel version than the underlying VM Host platform.

Linux Station is similar to docker in that is depends on the underlying Host OS Kernel etc., so lighter weight, but also brings it's own challenges.

That is why when people install Linux Station and then within the "Ubuntu" instance in Linux Station try and do an distribution upgrade (i.e. going from say 16.x > 18/20.x) it breaks their Linux Stations. The newer distributions have kernel dependencies that are different than the underlying QTS kernel, so hence it doesn't work.

TVS-x73 means no HDMI video support according to the release notes.

Wouldn't you know it - I've got an otherwise perfectly fine TVS-873... grrr....

Anybody know if not supporting TVS-873 is permanent???
