QNAP NAS Community Forum

Good Day

Have a VMWare 6.7U3h Host. Qnap is a TS-873U-RP with FW 4.4.1.1146.
QNAP-QVAAI_NFS3-3.0-2.vib is installed on VMWare host, host is rebootet
If i add a NFS Datastore from the Qnap NAS, Hardware Acceleration still has the status "not supported". It does not matter if i add the NFS Store with Version 3 or Version 4.1.

Any idea how to fix this?

I would update to the latest qts first (4.4.1 is out of date)

if it still does not work..contact qnap via ticket

have updated to the latest version. no change. i've opened a case on the qnap support site

I have 4.4.3.1381 and VAAI still not work.

i checked log files with vmware and they told me, that vaai is not loading. even if i can check with esxcli that vaai plugin is installed. now i have a teamviewer session today with qnap. i'll let you know the result

Not able to fix it. Next support session R&D from qnap is involved... let you know by the end of the week

I updated to QTS 4.4.3.1400 build 20200817 and still not work, this week i will have a support session.

just had the remote session with qnap r&d. they will do some more research on their site to figure it out. vaai registration failed for the nas share

vmkfstools -Ph /vmfs/volumes/SHARENAME -v 20

Output we have this error
QVAAIv3: register failed with magic number
NAS VAAI Supported: NO

i should get an update once qnap has figured it out...

Hi, in my case the problem was about enble NFSv2/3 too, because the vaai community only talks via this version, in the next update will be resolved, said by support.

Hi, thank for your feedback. I have a NFS3 and a NFS4 share, none of them work...

Have a new remote session next week. seems to be a problem of the acutall vaai plugin.
