Hi All,
I recently got QNAP TS-453U. I would like to provide Single Sign On to my users.
I found there are two ways achieving that:
1) Link QNAP with LDAP
2) Join QNAP into a domain
I noticed here on the forum that many of you were struggling with password expiration / had to re-apply permissions on shared folders ofter password expiration. So LDAP seems to be more convenient way for me.. or?
THANKS!

Re: QNAP and Windows 2012R2 Active Directory
I have done some more digging and got stuck again.
My setup:
Win2012 Std server running AD and DNS services (klokos.local is root domain name / just testing one)
There are three users in AD (located in klokos.local\Resources\Users OU)
LDAP on QNAP is configured as below. As you can see LDAP connector is ONLINE!
I created a shared folder called DATA.
Now its time to add users to that folder.
Here comes trouble...
Nothing to display??
Was reading a bit about this and found I have to extend AD schema. Is that the correct way and if yes, how can I do that?
Any advice will be much appreciated!
