Access via group Managed Service Accounts (gMSA)

Hi All,

We have a QNAP NAS installed in an Active Directory environment with Windows Server 2012 R2.

During our last ISO27001 audit, the fact that we are using a Domain Admin account for the NAS surfaced and we were asked to use a group Managed Service account instead.

While trying to read about this, I came across the fact that gMSA's can only be used with Windows clients, and specifically versions 8 or newer. Does anyone have any experience with this? Could we use a gMSA with our QNAP?
