QNAP not picking up on extended network

Post by rassie.wp »

Hi, can someone please help me.

My setup as follow:
- router in lounge
- QNAP right next to router in lounge (connected with short LAN cable)
- wifi repeater in home office (other side of house)

It used to work fine, until about a month ago. Now the QNAP is only picking up in the range of the router and not on the repeated network. At some stage Qfinder Pro picked up the QNAP but I could still not map it to Windows Explorer (Windows 10) like it used to work without any issues.

Layman terms (or explained terms) would be appreciated.

does the extender block LAN addresses ? (it's a feature many put on guest wifi's, to only allow internet access)

From my extender (TP Link) I can see that the Access Control feature is off, in other words no blocking.
