I have set up the QNAP as a domain controller and am having issues with passwords expiring, i dont want them to because it is unecessary for my system and annoying. I found something to solve the issue but need a little more information.
I found answer here i believe
viewtopic.php?t=123988
which states to change the smb.conf file
# /usr/local/samba/bin and execute ./samba-tool domain passwordsettings set --max-pwd-age=0
however, i am lost where this file is located. I tried using the file directory from the web login interface but i could not find it as i dont seem to be able to find what would be considered a root drive. Do i have to use a certain program to find this file. I have only used the web based interface to interact with the QNAP. That command appears to be a command line interface if i was on linux. But i on using windows and the web interface.
Also this solution appears to be a per user modification. is this correct assumption. so i will have to go through all users and do this modification?
