Stand-alone to Domain controller

Currently my TS-253a is a stand-alone server (8Gb RAM, 2x4Tb in RAID 1 config.)
I would like to convert the NAS to a Domain Controller.

What should I look out for when I do this?

• Will I have to re-configure my users/groups from scratch?

• Will my Shares remain as before?

• What happens to User/share privileges?

I am new to NAS so apologies if the question seems a simple one.
