Ciao.
This is to ask you where I can find settings in order to set password expire policy (1 months? 3 months? never?) for users, where primary DC in my QNAP NAS.

It seems password are expiring, while I did set to never expire on each DC user accounts. Maybe there is a global setting, on this?

Actually I'm using latest firmware (4.3.4.0597).

Thank you so much for your help and support!

I am also wondering about this since I have my user set to no expiry and just got prompted to change password because it had expired.

Hi,

we set up some policies due to the DSGVO this year. You might want to use the GPO's for this. As the QNAP acts as Active-Directory-Server the password-policies should be defind via Group Policies. At least as long as Windows is concernd.

You can configure this inn the following key (I'm translating the entries, as I don't use an english UI, so the actual names might be diferent): Computer-Configuration / Policy / Windows-Settings / Security-Settings / Account-Policy / Password-Policy

Hope this helps

Holger

So, you're changing QNAP facts modifying GPO's policies from a client? Do I have to change this from each client?

Or, I'm wrong?
