TS-112p as domain controller?

Post by TauTau_de »

Hi,

I want to get rid of my old server, and replace it's domain functionality with the QNAP. While I could join the domain, I can't find a button to promote it to a DC (I first want to add it as DC, then promote it to PDC when everything is synced)
Can't the 112 do that? If not, what would be the smallest model that can?

No, these old CAT1 devices cannot do an LDAP server.

Best to stick to a Windows Server here, QNAP is extremely limited and does not allow any sort of configuration for the AD server.
