USB dac no longer plays audio

I have plugged in an USB audio dac into the QNAP NAS and play music from musicstation directly. It no longer plays the music. The songs get skipped, without sound. I checked the DAC through my laptop and it works.

There are no errors shown, the DAC is visible in the interface. The log files dont mention anything either. Everything is up to date.

did that happen after a recent firmware update ?

Yes, but I dont know exactly when it started or what firmware was the last one to work. Estimate : two months ago it worked.

Could also be an update of the MusicStation App.

todays firnware update 4.3.3.0229 didnt fix it regretfully

Todays Music Station update fixed it.

Thanks QNAP, MusicStation with an USB DAC attached directly to a stereo amp, controlled through smartphone or web interface is so great. It beats streaming.

Please fix it QNAP, it used to be the perfect solution to play mp3 from my NAS directly

A few days ago I updated to Music Station 5.06 (and upgraded firmware).
Since this moment Music Station only plays MP3, while all my music files are in FLAC and it has Always worked, playing through my USB external soundcard.
I have informed Qnap and they will see into this problem.
I can however play the files through File Station, but I prefer Music Station. So I am waiting for a fix.

Did you get a reply from them on this? I can't play any files to the USB out. It's listed, but when i select it (or HDMI, or Networked players), Music Station just scrolls through the songs without playing them.
