unable to upload music files into Music Station 5

I am trying to upload music into Music Station 5. When pressing the "upload music" button and then navigating to the CD drive, no music is shown in the dialogue window. It is as though the program does not recognise the files. I have ensured that Adobe Flash is installed, but still no success. Why does Music Station 5 not recognise or see any music files on my hard drive or CD drive?
