QTS Login screen quicklinks

Hello All,

Searched on the forum but could not find the answer, so apologies if this question was answered somewhere and i was unable to find it
On the QTS login screen there is the quicklink to the Photo Station displayed.
I am wondering how to also implement other stations like Video Station, File Station, and possible other stations available as an App within QNAP.

Here is a screenshot example, where i would like to see other stations added.

you have to login qts go appcenter install those apps first.

next step is... in qts > control panel > general settings > login screen > "show the link bar" apply. click preview to check that it worked.


for remote access like from myqnapcloud service, that option for shared apps is available from qts > cloudlink > publish services. *i recommend click on publish then click on private. or better yet leave both unticked and don't use unless you need to

I have my setup in dutch.
But everything you refer to is checked.

I have gone in the QTS Appstore to download the those station apps. as seen in this screenshot

I have also added those apps in the Hybriddesk Station, but don't think this should have any influence on the QTS Login page quicklinks.

In regard to the cloud function, i am also missing the video station. here is the Publish list., resulting in it showing online like this.
On a side-note, when i make it private, i don't know where to setup the mycloud Access code. (but this is less relevant to my issue of not having the Q-stations show on the QTS Login-page)

Realy cant find the solution, been troubleshooting past couple days
Seen pictures of other people their login screen, that do show the links to videostation and other stations.
I keep having the photo station only.

well i suggest you create a ticket and they will get you the answer you need. otherwise i doubt an answer will be forthcoming anytime soon

there is only one other setting i'm aware of. when you create users, you can also specify what applications they have access to. though i'm not sure if that will affect the app links shown on the front page, but at least when they login to qts, they can access those apps you whitelisted for them.



all i recall from testing those links last time was the 2 things i mentioned earlier. if they still don't appear after that, then i'm also at a loss

by any chance did you go qts > system > general setting and disable hide multimedia functions? i doubt it, because you had those app icons on qts meaning that they are running.

helpdesk seems the best chance for you to getting an answer for this. do post back what they say, cause i'm also now curious about this

Okay found the answer

Anyone know how to remove the Photo Station link from the Qnap login home page? Without completely disabling Photo Station. Thanks

Clearly not a "problem" - it's a new feature with a (st***d) default.

Go app center then you see those toggles? use those. i made a screenshot

this is a setting that is hidden away, and one i rarely even bother to use (cause i'm always logged into qts, so never needed app links prior to login in) also i'm not comfortable displaying what apps i'm running showing people who don't even have to log in to find out. same reason don't auto display firmware version, less info non logged in users have, the better imho.

It indeed now works, you figure it out within an hour what i look for 2 days long, i dont have 6k posts to my name and the Qnap just recently bought but still.
I highly appreciated you taking the time to investigate this.

in regard to visibility, i might indeed disable a few things like firmware version, but in general i will only make my friends and family aware of the NAS.
And those people i do not know personaly but randomly reach my server, will most likely not be able to access the features anyway since ill protect securely under ssl https connections

to add to that, i also recommend using vpn to securely connect remotely.

I'm having the same problem. I'm missing a bunch of my apps on the login screen. Checked and that setting is definitely selected. Not sure why I'm still missing the app icons.

Thoughts?
