Hi,
I updated few apps last week and when I tried to use HD Player instead of opening page like this,
no starts Kodi????
I thought QNAP got rid of kodi due to some licencing issues?
How can I turn HD Player back to what it was as my kids are used to using that?
Thanks
HD Player turned into Kodi (XbMC)

Hi,
Just through the NAS web page (192.168.1.xx)
Then App centre and updated all

based on that answer, my guess is then that you have no idea how to install a 3rd party repository
maybe a question for a support ticket

as I asked you if you took KODI from a ("the" .. as afaik there is only qnap club repo)
and you told me you used the QTS web interface .. telling me that you had no idea what I was talking about .. so at that point I knew you didn't use a 3rd party repo

Sorry for misunderstanding
And sorry if i offended you, I thought you were asking my how I updated HD Player and I explained.
I was not trying to install Kodi, and not sure why it has installed. So this is what I am trying to ask, why I have Kodi , when I just updated the HD player!?

you didn't offend me .. I was merly deducting the answer to my question based on your answer (even though it was not a direct reply to what I asked)
so far I haven't heard anyone else with this issue .. but perhaps QNAP accidentally rolled out an old version of hd player (as I think it is a fork of xbmc/kodi) .. so you would have to check with QNAP via ticket (as QNAP does not participate in this forum)
