Photostation on QTS 4.4.1 0998 beta
Hi
I'm having a hard time getting Photostation to recognize my picture libraries.
Is there any config I need to alter on my photoshare folders that would trigger Photostation to find my photo libraries. In the config section of Photostation I'm already pointing to my photolibrary root folder.

I can see that the indexing service is indexing all pictures under the homes folder. How can I stop the service from indexing the homes folder and just index the folder I want it to index?

perhaps change from realtime indexing to set to PAUSE status, or temporary set to on manual scan.
Then in content management you set your media locations e.g. for pictures set where your picture media is located. if it already had a location set but you don't want it, you can remove it from the list.
once you are done setting your media locations, click apply.
next i would remove all thumbnails. Then I would go to indexing and make it remove the current indexing database. You do this to remove all the previously index/thumbnailed content that you didn't necessarily want it to do previously after you had adjusted your media location settings.
then set the scan status from pause to active, or run the scan, or set it back to realtime (i use this mode for simplicity)

This is my CMS setting. When I start the indexing process it start to index the homes folder. How can I exclude the homes folder? I want the process to index the FamilyMedias/FamilyPhotos/ folder.

homes is basically this
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=88997
you can go to qts and choose whether to add homes for each user or not. i opted not, because i make my own shares.
anyway based on your screenshot, try click edit, then remove that entry you don't want there. then add the ones that you do.

Re: Photostation on QTS 4.4.1 0998 beta
that is the older multimedia management UI. The new one in qts 4.4.1 uses multimedia console, which was shown in your earlier screenshot
your earlier question, if you are still having issue removing multimedia folder, you can try going to QTS > SHARES > click edit property for the share, then UNTICK media folder.
see if that helps?

I know, but where can I find the same functionality in 4.4.1?

I can find a media folder option to untick

Re: Photostation on QTS 4.4.1 0998 beta
I want the Private Collection in Photostation6 to reflect the pictures the user has in the home/MyPhotos. This was possible in earlier versions of QTS, but I have a hard time figuring out how to do it in 4.4.1.
Any other pictures under not in the MyPhotos filder under home should de excluded.
Any suggestions?

u see the pencil/gear clock icon for your share, thats the edit. if unsure, mouse over the icon wait a sec and it should give a text to explain what it is.ansitno wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2019 6:24 am >that is the older multimedia management UI

SHARES.PNG
in that setting there is a media folder. untick that.
to make media identify as photos and to be detected in photostation, you would set the media content for photos in multimedia console as explained beforeI want the Private Collection in Photostation6 to reflect the pictures the user has in the home/MyPhotos.
