RTRR Will Not Support Jumbo Frames

Post by Bloozeman »

Unfortunately, I could not add to the old "locked" thread referenced below but even now in 2023 RTRR will not support jumbo frames. I didn't play with a smaller size but as per the guidance in the thread just set everything back to 1500 on both the source (legacy TS459pro II) and target (new TS464). Magically it all works. At the end of the day the 13+ year old 459pro II will become a target for backups of high value data on the TS464 and the TS251+ that live on my network. I'll play around with what is the biggest jumbo frame size RTRR can support once completed but I've run jumbo frames some day 1 with legacy switches all now replaced with Ubiquiti switches and that is not the issue. As far as I can tell RTRR lives in the stone ages but even at a MTU of 1500 I'm still getting 64MBs plus for the replication to the TS464.

And did you create a ticket to support to tell them your findings/requests?
If not, nothing will change. Even if reported, I am not sure if QNAP will change this... :x

Have to tried a direct connection between the 2 to rule out the switch or other potential issues?
