RTRR (FTP Server) stop working after 4.3.3.0154 update
Hi folks,
after I've update to 4.3.3.0154 my job with RTRR fails. I've delete the job and recreate it with this parameter: Sync remote lo local folder, FTP server (test works fine). Next page "create folder pairs" in "remote source folder" the system check 2-3 seconds but it does not show anything... with other ftp client all works fine, so it's a firmware bug?

Re: RTRR (FTP Server) stop working after 4.3.3.0154 update
Hi, I used to have such a problem. In my case I also could not install new apps in App Center or update the firmware. So I thought there was the problem with the connection and just reset the router to factory defaults. I have a DHCP server on the router, and the default gateway setting was lost. After I indicated it anew (192.168.0.1), everything worked, I was able to recreate the job

Hello, I have the same problem. Recently, I got a HiDrive account. FTP from Windows PC is working fine, but rSync on QNAP does not work. Test connection is ok, but I can not create folder pair on the HiDrive server side. Also, CloudConnect in Filestation does not work.
And it is NOT the issue of the default gateway.

It's surely a bug: I've try 2 different QNAP model, same last firmware, same result. With all ftp client, windows, filezilla, android app all works fine. p.s. i have static ip on QNAP and FTP server

Re: RTRR (FTP Server) stop working after 4.3.3.0154 update
CloudConnect with FTP in Filestation is now working, but I cannot create sync jobs, so it's useless. I've tried RTRR and rSync again with different setups, but still not working. I filed a compaint with QNAP helpdesk. The reply was that HiDrive is not supported as a cloud storage and sent me a picture of something, totally not related to BackUpManager. I don't use cloud storage, RTRR uses simple FTP.
I found on a German forum a similar topic which confirms that Firmware 4.3.3. causes the problem. See second message.

Re: RTRR (FTP Server) stop working after 4.3.3.0154 update
I can just confirm that on my TS-451+ running firmware 4.3.3.0210 the problem is still there...jobs are starting but after several days are still running but no data is transferred to remote FTP host. Shame is that such useful feature was largely used by my company to sync data...

Re: RTRR (FTP Server) stop working after 4.3.3.0154 update
After a lot of email exchange with QNAP support, I was able to convince them of the bug. I have put back the 4.3.2 firmware, but then something else went wrong. So, I have decided to leave QNAP. I've built my own NAS now with Openmediavault. That is also not without faults but at least the sync jobs go well.
@ Daniele, Thank you for your message. So it's still useless to update the firmware on the QNAP.
I think I will put Openmediavault on the QNAP as well. Then the GUI should respond much faster too: no eye candy.

Re: RTRR (FTP Server) stop working after 4.3.3.0154 update
Yesterday I updated "hybrid backup sync" to v2.1.170914. RTRR FTP sync is working now.
The tested job: sync -> active sync -> sync remote to local -> FTP, which backup my MAC folders to QNAP.
Firmware v4.3.3.0299 (2017/9/1)

Oh, goody! But it took them 5 months to solve the problems. I'm quite happy I got rid of the QNAP and have my own built system with Openmediavault now.jack13.83 wrote:With the new hybrid backup sync all works fine!
