Need Some Help on setting up HBS

Post by joeofall »

Hi all,

few year back i had setup Ts-251 pro for my friend in his office, every thing was fine, till recently 1 of the staff deleted a folder where important and no way to recover it back from the Nas. So i say let another nas to backup it.
I remember with qsync you able to sync 1 way and leave the file on the 2nd nas even file was deleted on the source(1st nas).

i can't seem to find that option now, when i try with Ts-230 (new nas) HBS 3. I tested one way local to local sync, if i delete the file on the source and the target will also deleted.

So how can i setup in such way that, it will just sync the file and leave it there if source file is deleted .

thank you
Joe

a backup with options to not delete deleted files ..that wouldn't help on ransomware attack .. as those backups still update changed files
