I really start to lose track of what settings I've changed some times, why I did it, when I did it, etc. I have kept an Excel spreadsheet for several years for my NAS's and other complex software to track the default settings, my changes, the date I made them, and why I made them.
It would be really nice if we could have QNAP export a single file like a CSV or Excel of all of the systems changeable settings. And, be in a format that doesn't take a computer science degree to understand.

They do have an export, but that is not human readable and will only restore to the same hardware and config

Re: Export file of all system setting
When I save my confirmation to file, I always rename the file to include the date and firmware version for easy reference. If I make any significant change, I often and this to the filename as well or for extensive changes I create a text file with a matching name to keep track of what I've done. Basically, every time I make a configuration change I save a new unique (dated) configuration file that gets archived along with downloads of all past firmware versions and app releases.
