QIoT Suite Lite for TS-131

Post by qlks4iot »

Why is it not possible to use the QIoT Suite Lite with the TS-131?
I really would need it and can't find it in the app-center!

What is QIoT Suite Lite?

Efficient IoT development cases
QIoT Suite Lite leverages popular tools – Node-RED and Freeboard – to help create IoT environment easily. It supports multiple protocols (MQTT, HTTP and CoAP) and dashboards, and allows for the quick connection of development boards along with multiple sensors. Simply determine the rules engine and dashboard in QIoT Suite Lite to initiate IoT applications within minutes. QIoT Suite Lite also adds MQTTS and HTTPs security layers on the protocol for secure network connections.

firstly your device isn't listed in the compatibility list for it.
System requirements:
QNAP NAS with at least 4GB RAM and QTS 4.2.2 (or later)
Supported QNAP NAS models: TS-x51, TS-x51+, TS-x51A, TS-x53, TS-x53A, TS-x53B, TVS-x70, TVS-x71, TVS-x73, TS/SS-x79, TS/TVS-x80, TVS-x82, TES-x85, TDS-16489U
https://www.qnap.com/solution/qiot-suite/en/

as far as i know the TS-x53a was the first series to be IOT certified NAS devices. What does it take to be IOT certified? I don't know, but you can click FAQ in my signature for how to create a support ticket to ask technical support if you want.

Maybe consider upgrading to a TS-253a ? Or a supported model from the list :)
